CADA CELDA COMPRENDE UNA CAMARA DE FLUIDO EN LA QUE SE INSERTA UN SUSTRATO DE MUESTRA. LA CARA DEL SUSTRATO EN QUE SE MONTA LA MUESTRA BIOLOGICA ESTA ENCARADA A UN POCILLO DE FLUIDO. LA CELDA INCLUYE UNA CABEZA QUE TIENE UNA CAMARA PARA RECIBIR EN ELLA UNA MATRIZ DE SOPORTE SOLIDA QUE CONTIENE EN FORMA LIBERABLE EL LIGANDO QUE HA DE PONERSE EN CONTACTO CON LA MUESTRA. LA CAMARA DE LA CABEZA DE LA CELDA ESTA COMUNICADA CON EL POCILLO DE FLUIDO DE MANERA QUE CUANDO SE LIBERA EL LIGANDO DE LA MATRIZ ESTE FLUYE DENTRO DEL POCILLO DE FLUIDO PONIENDOSE DE ESTA FORMA EN CONTACTO CON LA MUESTRA BIOLOGICA MONTADA. LA MATRIZ DE SOPORTE DEL LIGANDO PUEDE SER GELATINA O CERA. EL CUERPO DE LA CELDA Y LA CABEZA DE LA CELDA SE CALIENTAN O ENFRIAN DIFERENCIALMENTE DE FORMA QUE LA MUESTRA MONTADA PUEDE SER MANTENIDA A LA TEMPERATURA PREFERENTE PARA LA REACCION DE INTERES Y LA CABEZA DE LA CELDA PUEDE SER CALENTADA A UNA TEMPERATURA SUFICIENTE PARA CAUSAR LA DEGRADACION TERMICA DE LA MATRIZ PARA CAUSAR LA LIBERACION DEL LIGANDO.
