Abstract

Utilización nueva de alcano-1,2-dioles para inactivar los microorganismos de la piel mediante aplicación tópica. El 1,2-octanodiol es particularmente efectiva contra los gérmenes que causan acné y caspa, así como los que causan mastitis en animales lecheros, y su actividad se ve reforzada por una interacción sinérgica con geles como poli(met)acrilato de glicerilo. También se describen composiciones que pueden contener además un disolvente licuefactor.
