Abstract

Prótesis de disco cervical. Consiste en un implante cilíndrico constituido por tres elementos, dos placas externas de titanio (1) y un núcleo esférico (2). El cilindro formado por el acoplamiento de estas tres piezas tiene estrías para su introducción a rosca en el orificio labrado con este fin en la columna cervical. La prótesis sustituye al disco intervertebral cervical enfermo y es capaz de simular su biomecánica.
