Abstract
Una batería (10) que comprende un bastidor que contiene una pluralidad de placas positivas (11) conectadas en paralelo y una pluralidad de placas negativas (12) conectadas en paralelo, siendo cada una de las placas positivas sustancialmente del mismo tamaño y de forma rectangular, teniendo dos bordes largos (16a y 16b) y un primer borde corto (14) y un segundo borde corto (15), caracterizada porque el bastidor contiene también un miembro (25;28) que tiene un primer extremo y un segundo extremo, estando el primer extremo conectado eléctricamente a los primeros bordes cortos (14) de las placas positivas (11), adyacentes a uno de los dos grupos de bordes largos (16a) y estando el segundo extremo conectado eléctricamente a los segundos bordes cortos (15) de las placas positivas (11), adyacentes al mismo grupo de bordes largos (16a), o al mismo grupo de bordes largos (16a) de las placas positivas (11) inmediatamente adyacentes a los segundos bordes cortos (15), extendiéndose el miembro (25;28) paralelamente a dichos bordes largos (16a y 16b) a lo largo de la mayor parte de su longitud, y consistiendo en un material que tiene una conductividad mayor que el material de las placas positivas (11), y porque cada una de las placas negativas (12) son sustancialmente del mismo tamaño y de forma rectangular, teniendo dos bordes largos (16) y un primer borde corto (14) y un segundo borde corto (15), y se proporciona un miembro adicional (25;28), teniendo el miembro adicional un primer extremo y un segundo extremo, estando el primer extremo conectado eléctricamente a los primeros bordes cortos (14) de las placas negativas (12) y estando el segundo extremo conectado eléctricamente a los segundos bordes cortos (15) de las placas negativas (12), o a uno de los bordes largos (16) de las placas negativas (12) inmediatamente adyacentes a los segundos bordes cortos (15), consistiendo el miembro adicional (25;28) en un material que tiene una conductividad mayor que el material de las placas negativas (12).
