Abstract
Procedimiento de reducción de óxidos metálicos en un horno de solera giratoria (3) en forma de corona, en el cual un reductor carbonado y unos óxidos metálicos son depositados en una banda sobre una parte de dicha solera giratoria (3) y son a continuación transportados en un movimiento sustancialmente en forma helicoidal hacia un dispositivo de evacuación, siendo el reductor precalentado y mezclado con los óxidos metálicos precalentados antes de que sean y/o mientras son depositados sobre la solera giratoria (3), caracterizado porque se utilizan en una primera fase de reducción los componentes volátiles del reductor carbonado (principalmente el metano y el hidrógeno) para iniciar la reducción de los óxidos metálicos y porque se utiliza, en una segunda etapa de reducción, el monóxido de carbono.
