Abstract
Un método para aplastar una película tubular extruida de celulosa no derivatizada hasta una anchura plana durante el curso de la extrusión continua del tubo, que comprende las etapas de: (a) extruir hacia abajo un tubo compuesto por una solución de celulosa no derivatizada a lo largo de un eje de extrusión (17) sustancialmente vertical y hacia el interior de un baño de líquido (18) no disolvente; (b) disponer yuxtapuestos un par de miembros de enlazamiento (30, 32) sustancialmente cilíndricos en una orientación generalmente horizontal por debajo de la superficie del baño de líquido no disolvente, teniendo los miembros de enlazamiento al menos 25,4 mm de diámetro y siendo dispuesto un primero de los miembros con su superficie generalmente tangente al eje de extrusión vertical, definiendo los miembros de enlazamiento un espacio (50) entre ellos para alojar el paso de un tubo extruido (14) que se hace pasar de modo sustancialmente vertical a través del espacio, y pudiéndose hacer girar los miembros de enlazamiento como una unidad alrededor de un eje común (48) sustancialmente horizontal, que está separado lateralmente del eje de extrusión vertical; (c) hacer pasar un extremo anterior (52) del tubo a través del espacio entre los miembros de enlazamiento; y después de esto (d) hacer girar los miembros de enlazamiento aproximadamente 180º alrededor del eje común horizontal, que está separado lateralmente del eje de extrusión vertical, invirtiendo, por tanto, las posiciones relativas de los miembros de enlazamiento; y (e) en el curso de dicho giro, poner en contacto los miembros de enlazamiento contra lados opuestos del tubo, desviando, por tanto, la porción puesta en contacto del tubo del eje de extrusión vertical y dirigiendo la porción puesta en contacto del tubo por una trayectoria sinuosa de desplazamiento para formar un enrollamiento en S, al tiempo que se aplasta el tubo hasta una anchura plana.
