Abstract
Para poder destruir materiales peligrosos, por ejemplo compuestos clorados, tales como PCBs, o materiales contaminados con estos compuesto, se propone emplear técnicas capaces del ya llamado procedimiento de alta temperatura; en particular se propone emplear tecnologías con producción de alta temperatura y capacidad, como por ejemplo, el tratamiento bien conocido de baño de hierro en horno eléctrico para mantener los materiales contaminados y sus derivados del craking o de la oxidación a alta temperatura durante un tiempo suficiente para asegurar su completa destrucción. Los productos finales del tratamiento de acuerdo con la presente invención aún contienen moléculas agresivas tales como ClH, que se tratarán posteriormente de forma convencional como por ejemplo con hidróxido cálcico.
