Abstract
La invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la producción por reducción electroquímica de un material que contiene carbono con su superficie modificada por grupos orgánicos, en particular funcionalizados, que comprende poner en contacto el material que contiene carbono con una sal de diazonio orgánica en un disolvente, opcionalmente en presencia de un electrolito; la polarización negativa del material que contiene carbono respecto de un nodo también en contacto con una solución electrolítica separada de la citada solución de sal de diazonio, estando caracterizado dicho procedimiento porque la reducción electroquímica se lleva a cabo en una sal de diazonio orgánica en un disolvente prótico en un medio ácido. La invención se refiere también a materiales que contienen carbono de superficie modificada por grupos orgánicos y al uso de estos materiales modificados, por ejemplo para la producción de materiales composites o para la fijación de moléculas de interés biológico.
