Abstract

Interruptor de mercurio, del tipo de los aplicables al interior de una boya-flotador, que cierra y abre un circuito eléctrico poniendo en contacto o desconectando, respectivamente, dos bornes del mismo introducidos en un receptáculo por el interior del cual se desplaza una masa de mercurio, caracterizado porque dicho receptáculo es de configuración curvilínea y está constituido preferentemente por una porción de toroide, de modo que la conexión y desconexión se realiza de modo muy brusco, estando sujeto dicho receptáculo en el interior de la boya-flotador-mediante dos orejetas, entre las que queda firmemente asegurado por aprieto producido mediante un tornillo que tiende a acercar ambas orejetas entre sí.
