Abstract

Un procedimiento para fabricar un artículo de material compuesto celulósico, comprendiendo el procedimiento las etapas de: (a) combinar un aglutinante de resina con material celulósico formando una mezcla; (b) conformar un fieltro a partir de la mezcla de (a); (c) consolidar el fieltro con vapor y presión en un aparato de prensado que incluye una pareja de platinas calentadas, incluyendo una platina de inyección de vapor una pluralidad de aberturas para el paso de vapor a su través; (d) disponer una placa de distribución de vapor ranurada adyacente a dicha platina de inyección de vapor y en contacto con dicha mezcla, teniendo dicha placa de distribución de vapor ranurada ranuras que interseccionan con las aberturas en la platina de inyección de vapor, proporcionando dichas ranuras en dicha placa de distribución de vapor un área abierta a la inyección de vapor que comprende al menos un 6% de una superficie principal adyacente de dicho artículo de material compuesto; (e) inyectar vapor a través de las aberturas en dicha platina de inyección de vapor y a través de las ranuras en dicha placa de distribución de vapor para conseguir un contacto completo de dicha mezcla con dicho vapor y consolidar dicha mezcla en un artículo celulósico que tiene una integridad estructural y curar dicho aglutinante de resina; y (f) descargar dicho vapor del lado de inyección de vapor de dicho aparato de prensado.
