Abstract

Método para la obtención de embriones y plantas haploides de alcornoque. La presente invención se basa en una aplicación de la biotecnología vegetal a la mejora genética del alcornoque (Quercus Suber L.), dirigida a la obtención de plantas haploides u homozigóticas puras mediante embriogénesis gamética. El método consiste en la obtención de embriones haploides de alcornoque a partir de células gaméticas (microsporas o granos de polen), mediante un tratamiento de estrés para la obtención de plantas homozigótica puras (líneas puras) aplicables a la mejora genética del alcornoque. Los embriones gaméticos producidos se tratan con frío, para inducir su germinación. Después se pasan a medio para estimular el desarrollo del tallo y obtener la producción de plantas. Este procedimiento resuelve los problemas de lentitud en la obtención de líneas puras por métodos clásicos de mejora genética.
