DICHAS RETICULAS SE PUEDEN FORMAR, EN UNA REALIZACION DE LA INVENCION, MEDIANTE POLIMERIZACION DE PRECURSORES POLIMERICOS DE ANHIDRIDOS QUE INCLUYEN GRUPOS RETICULABLES, COMO FRACCIONES INSATURADAS. DICHOS PRECURSORES SE PUEDEN RETICULAR, POR EJEMPLO A TRAVES DE UNA REACCION DE FOTOPOLIMERIZACION, MEDIANTE IRRADIACION DEL PRECURSOR CON LUZ, EN PRESENCIA DE UN INICIADOR RADICALAR. LOS PRECURSORES DE ANHIDRIDOS ADECUADOS INCLUYEN DIANHIDRIDOS DE UN ACIDO DICARBOXILICO Y DE ACIDO CARBOXILICO QUE COMPRENDEN UN GRUPO RETICULABLE. POR EJEMPLO, SE PUEDEN UTILIZAR DIANHIDRIDOS DE ACIDO METACRILICO DE MONOMEROS U OLIGOMEROS DE UN DIACIDO, COMO EL ACIDO SEBACICO O 1, 3 - BIS (P- CARBOXIFENOXI) - HEXANO. LOS PRECURSORES POLIMERICOS DE ANHIDRIDO SE PUEDEN APLICAR IN VIVO A UN LUGAR EN EL QUE SE PRECISA UN IMPLANTE ORTOPEDICO Y SE PUEDEN RETICULAR A CONTINUACION MEDIANTE IRRADIACIONCON LUZ UV, PARA FORMAR UN IMPLANTE BIODEGRADABLE, COMO UNA VARILLA, CLAVO O PLACA.
