Abstract

La invención se refiere a partículas nanométricas especialmente adecuadas para utilizarlas en terapia tumoral por hipertermia. Dichas partículas comprende un óxido de hierro (preferiblemente superparamagnético) que contiene un núcleo y al menos dos capas que rodean dicho núcleo. La capa interna, más próxima al núcleo es una capa que comprende grupos capaces de formar grupos catiónicos y la descomponen los tejidos humanos o animales a una velocidad tan baja que permite la asociación del núcleo rodeado por dicha capa con la superficie de las células y/o para la absorción de dicho núcleo en el interior de las células. La(s) capa(s) consiste(n) en especies que tienen grupos neutros y/o aniónicos que permiten a las partículas nanométricas que desde el exterior parezca que tengan carga neutra o negativa y que se descomponen por el tejido humano más rápidamente que la capa más interna y que haciendo esto dejan al descubierto las capas que hay bajo ellas, pero lo suficientemente despacio como paraasegurar que las partículas nanométricas se distribuyen adecuadamente en un tejido corporal infiltrado de manera puntual con dichas partículas.
