Abstract

Dispositivo de colada continua de alta velocidad para productos metálicos (17), que comprende un molde (12) de lingote provisto de un cristalizador (16) formado por paredes laterales (16a), un conjunto (14) de guía, contención y posiblemente laminado previo situado corriente abajo de dicho molde (12) de lingote y que tiene un desarrollo curvado para llevar dicho producto (17) desde una posición de colada sustancialmente vertical hasta una posición sustancialmente horizontal, unos medios (32) de refrigeración secundaria asociados a dicho conjunto (14) y un sistema (18) de refrigeración primaria asociado a dichas paredes laterales (16a), estando caracterizado el dispositivo porque por lo menos la parte inferior de dicho cristalizador (16) tiene un desarrollo longitudinal por lo menos ligeramente curvado con un radio de curvatura ("R") que tiene un valor por lo menos cinco veces mayor que el radio de curvatura del primer segmento del conjunto (14) de guía, contención y posiblemente laminado previo, porque dicho cristalizador (16) tiene una longitud ("L") igual a por lo menos 1050 mm, porque las caras internas de dichas paredes laterales (16a) tienen un desarrollo descendente estrechado convergente con el valor de estrechamiento relacionado con la separación de la piel del producto (17) durante la refrigeración en el interior del cristalizador (16) y porque dicho sistema (18) de refrigeración primaria comprende unas cámaras (20) o agujeros longitudinales (30) para la circulación del fluido de refrigeración, con una alta velocidad de circulación de dicho fluido de entre 12 y 28 metros por segundo para garantizar un intercambio alto de calor con el metal fundido y una alta capacidad de refrigeración.
