Abstract

Sistema para taponar la bóveda (10) de un horno (11) de arco eléctrico que tiene una cuba principal o volumen de fusión (25) dispuesto por debajo de la bóveda (10) y por lo menos un electrodo (15) introducido dentro de la cuba principal (25), comprendiendo el sistema un elemento superior o elemento (20) de bóveda auxiliar dispuesto en la parte superior de la bóveda (10) y conformado de modo que define una cámara interna (21) y por lo menos una abertura central (113) a través de la cual el electrodo (15) puede desplazarse, comprendiendo a su vez dicho elemento (20) de bóveda auxiliar una pluralidad de tubos (23) dentro de los cuales circula un líquido refrigerante a presión, en el que dicha cámara interna (21) está conectada a una torre vertical (27) cuya función principal es la aspiración de modo adecuado para crear un efecto de torbellino o de ciclón como mínimo alrededor de la parte superior del electrodo (15), caracterizado porque dicho elemento de bóveda auxiliar (20) está constituido únicamente por dicha pluralidad de tubos (23).
