Abstract

Compsición que sirve para preparar el campo operatorio creando una película antimicrobianan y que comprende un material que permite crear esta película amntimicrobiana, así como un agente antimicrobiano soluble en un solvente fugitivo. Esta composición, cuando se aplica en la superficie de la piel, constituye sobre esta última una película flexible prácticamente insoluble en el agua y prácticamente no adhesiva. Esta película es capaz de retener con liberación, el agente antimicrobiano para inhibir sensiblemente el crecimiento microbiano en la superficie de la piel. Esta película libera una cantidad suficiente de agente microbiano para eliminar los microorganismos normalmente presentes en la superficie de la piel, para prepararla para la intervención quirúrgica, y sigue liberando este agente antimicrobiano durante la intervención y la posterior cura de la herida. Se puede retirar sin dificultad la composición desde un tejido lavándolo, no mancha ni siquiera si el tejido ha sidotratado con lejía clorada. Además, una película lisa sigue creándose sin utilizar plastificante separado.
