Abstract

La invención está relacionada con artículos de seguridad como tarjetas de garantía de cheque, tarjetas de identificación y similares, y con papel de seguridad que incluye billetes de banco, cheques y similares. La presente invención también se refiere a un procedimiento de fabricación de artículos de seguridad y a un procedimiento de verificación de la autenticidad del artículo de seguridad. La invención se refiere a un artículo de seguridad que tiene superficies primera y segunda y a un hilo de seguridad que tiene una primera parte situada entre las superficies primera y segunda y una segunda parte expuesta en una ventana provista en la primera superficie, comprendiendo el hilo de seguridad medios que proveen al menos una característica de seguridad no pública lo cual permite la verificación de autenticidad del artículo de seguridad y el cual no es visualmente detectable cuando el hilo de seguridad se expone únicamente a una radiación electromagnética en el espectro visible, en el cual laexposición de la segunda parte del hilo de seguridad en el ventana de la ventana en la primera superficie mejora la detección de la característica de seguridad no pública al proporcionar una parte accesible del hilo de seguridad, y en el cual todo o parte del hilo de seguridad expuesto en la ventana en la primera superficie tiene una apariencia mate no reflectante y concuerda con gran precisión en color una parte de la primera superficie que rodea la ventana, por lo cual cuando la primera superficie se ve en la luz reflejada en el espectro visible la parte expuesta del hilo de seguridad es modesto y no forma una característica visualmente sorprendente la apariencia del artículo de seguridad en una luz reflectante del espectro visible.
