Aparato depilador para quitar el vello de la piel del cuerpo humano, con un cilindro giratorio (5, 103), provisto de elementos de sujeción (111, 112), con los cuales se puede realizar un movimiento de cierre en una zona (L) del movimiento de giro del cilindro giratorio (5, 103), habiéndose previsto unos elementos orientables alrededor de un eje pivotante (122) para desplazar la zona (L¿) del movimiento de cierre, en función del ángulo (W), con el que se aplica el aparato depilador (1, 101) sobre la piel, caracterizado porque el eje pivotante (122) de los elementos está dispuesto desplazado respecto del eje de giro (23, 108) del cilindro giratorio (5, 103).
