Abstract

Hoja de papel decorativa utilizada en la fabricación de paneles o perfiles decorativos, que comprende de 5 a 50 % en peso seco con respecto a la hoja, de una composición de dióxido de titanio TiO2 y de sílice SiO2 en forma de flóculos minerales mixtos en los cuales las partículas de TiO2 están espaciadas unas de otras por agregados de SiO2, habiendo sido madurados dichos flóculos para reforzar la solidez de las uniones establecidas entre las partículas de TiO2 y las partículas y/o agregados de SiO2, a una temperatura comprendida entre 60 y 100°C durante al menos treinta minutos en la dispersión acuosa que resulta de la mezcla de una dispersión acuosa de TiO2 y de una dispersión acuosa de sílice SiO2, siendo realizada la mezcla de las dos dispersiones con agitación y a pH comprendido entre los puntos isoeléctricos respetivos de dichos TiO2 y SiO2, y elegido de tal manera que dichos TiO2 y SiO2 tengan cargas superficiales opuestas y suficientemente diferentes para conducir, bajo el efecto defuerzas electrostáticas, a su disposición en flóculos minerales mixtos en los cuales las partículas de TiO2 están globalmente espaciadas unas de otras por agregados de SiO2, principalmente entre 4, 5 y 6, 5, preferentemente del orden de 5, 5.
