Abstract

Equipo de frenado electromagnético de un metal en fusión en el seno de un producto colado en continuo que comprende una alimentación eléctrica y, conectado a dicha alimentación, al menos un inductor electromagnético (1) del tipo estátor polifásico de campo magnético deslizante destinado a ser montado sobre la instalación de colada enfrente de una cara del producto en curso de colada, teniendo dicho inductor al menos dos arrollamientos de fase (A, B), equipo caracterizado porque dicha alimentación eléctrica (29) está constituida por alimentaciones elementales en corriente continua (8, 9) regulables en intensidad de corriente cada una independientemente de las otras, y porque cada una de dichas alimentaciones elementales está conectada a uno y sólo a uno de dichos arrollamientos de fase (A, B) del inductor.
