Abstract

Un procedimiento de suministro de sustancias promotoras de crecimiento de tipo no antibiótico a un lechón, el procedimiento comprende. (i) administrar al lechón, durante la primera parte del período de lactancia, una primera composición de complemento alimenticio funcional de tipo seco que comprende fibras dietéticas fermentables y un componente de micronutrientes que comprende al menos 0, 6 % en peso de hierro calculado como hierro elemental, y, posterior a dicha primera parte del período de lactancia, (ii) administrar al lechón durante al menos parte de la parte restante del período de lactancia una segunda composición de complemento alimenticio funcional de tipo seco que comprende fibras dietéticas fermentables y un componente de micronutrientes que comprende al menos 0, 2 % en peso de hierro calculado como hierro elemental, en el que la proporción de hierro elemental en dicho segundo complemento alimenticio funcional es a lo sumo 90 % del contenido del primer complemento alimenticio funcional, el procedimiento suministra al lechón al menos la cantidad requerida fisiológicamente de hierro y otros micronutrientes durante el período de lactancia.
