Abstract
Un sistema de posicionamiento comprendiendo al menos dos receptores de una red de telefonía digital que tiene una pluralidad de fuentes de transmisión (1A - 1C), el primero (2A, 2B) de cuyos receptores se encuentra en una posición conocida y el segundo (4) de los cuales es un receptor móvil cuya posición va a ser determinada, dicho sistema utiliza señales de transmisión que tienen un formato al menos parte del cual tiene valores predeterminados o una parte del cual se repite, incluyendo cada receptor un reloj de referencia; un medio (43) para generar en cada receptor una señal de referencia enganchada al reloj de referencia, teniendo la señal de referencia un formato similar a las señales de transmisión y así una parte idéntica a la parte de la señal recibida que tiene valores predeterminados o que se repite; y un medio (46) en cada receptor, para comparar la señal de transmisión recibida y la señal de referencia para determinar su desplazamiento de tiempo relativo para habilitar por lo tanto la posición del segundo receptor que va a ser determinada por medio de la determinación del retardo de tiempo entre las respectivas señales recibidas en ambos receptores.
