Abstract

the device has a window foil (2), PIR sensor behind the foil with evaluation electronics, a transmitter diode (28), a detector (28') of the scattered radiation from the diode and a circuit which compares the actual detected radiation value with a desired value. The transmitter diode and the detector are mounted in separate tubular stops next to the window foil. The transmitter diode stop has a lateral opening (32) for part of the diode's output radiation. The detector stop has a lateral opening (32') for the entry only of radiation scattered by the window foil.
