Abstract
Frita cerámica capaz de cristalizar mullita en ciclos térmicos de cocido industrial, su obtención y aplicaciones. La frita cerámica presenta 60-90% en peso de óxidos de aluminio y silicio, donde el porcentaje de óxido de aluminio está comprendido entre 20 y 45%, el de óxido de silicio entre 20 y 50%, y la relación ponderal Al{sub,2}0{sub,3}/Si0{sub,2} entre 0,5 y 2; y 10-40 % en peso de uno o más óxidos adicionales. La frita genera una fase cristalina de mullita cuando se utiliza como recubrimiento de soportes cerámicos sometidos a un tratamiento térmico de 1.000-1.350ºC durante 30-120 minutos. La frita puede ser utilizada como recubrimiento de pavimentos cerámicos, para conformar placas vitrocerámicas, y como parte integrante de composiciones de soportes porcelánicos.
