Abstract

System for extruding, cutting and preparing bricks for drying in a single process, based on the use of large sized moulds, which enable the most expensive part of the process of manufacturing bricks by extrusion to be eliminated - the handling of the bricks after extrusion to match the number of rows as they exit to the size of the dryer being used. It also reduces the exit speed of the clay, which reduces load loss during extrusion, thus making large savings on energy. Bricks manufactured in this way have a higher mechanical resistance-mass ratio they are more homogenous and therefore probably break less finally, friction wear on the elements in the system is less and their useful life is increased.< IMAGE >The production system employs an extrusion and cutting process comprising single drying preparation step, by using specially-designed molds.
