Dispositivo y método para rotomoldeo. Comprende las etapas de: carga de material a moldear en el interior de dos semimoldes (21) (24), metálicos aplicación a los semimoldes (21) (24) de un movimiento de giro sobre al menos dos ejes mientras se aplica el valor producido por la acción de microondas a un recubrimiento susceptible a las mismas que presenta la superficie exterior de los semimoldes (21) (24) enfriamiento de los semimoldes (21)(24) que comprende las fases de preenfriamiento con aire, enfriamiento mediante pulverización con agua y secado con aire apertura y retirada de las piezas moldeadas de los semimoldes (21)(24). El dispositivo para llevar a cabo el método descrito consta de una caja de transmisión (3) giratoria sobre un eje central (5) y provista de varios juegos de portamoldes (4) en su periferia, que pueden introducirse sucesivamente en una cámara resonante (6) provista de magnetrones (7) generadores de microondas y en una cámara de enfriamiento (8) provista de conduccionesde agua (11) con aspersores (12) y una toma de aire (9) con ventilador (10).
