Abstract

La cubierta de alta flotabilidad para embarcaciones que se describe, proporciona al barco, en caso de inundación de agua en su interior, el empuje suficiente para equilibrar la suma de los pesos del barco y del agua antes de que la embarcación quede sumergida. Está compuesta por una cámara de flotabilidad que incorpora material impermeable de muy baja densidad, con propiedades de estanquidad al agua y sin aumento significativo de su peso, y mediante la que puede mantenerse la embarcación a flote cuando ésta se ha inundado por completo.
