Abstract
Una espuma rígida de poliuretano absorbente de la energía con una densidad de 30 kg/m3 hasta aproximadamente 270 kg/cm3, una eficiencia en la absorción de la energía al 40 % de compresión superior al 70 %, una recuperación, después del 80 % de compresión mayor del 80 % y un factor de eficiencia/recuperación mayor de 150, que se caracteriza porque dicha espuma es un producto de la reacción celular a un índice de isocianato desde aproximadamente 90 hasta aproximadamente 130, de uno o más di- y/o poliisocianatos con una composición de un poliol que comprende: a) un primer componente poliol con una funcionalidad nominal de aproximadamente 2, 5 o más y un peso molecular de aproximadamente 3.000 Da; b) un segundo componente poliol con una funcionalidad de aproximadamente 3, 0 hasta aproximadamente 6, 0 y un número de hidróxilos desde aproximadamente 160 hasta aproximadamente 800, comprendiendo dicho segundo componente poliol aproximadamente 1 por ciento del poliol total; conteniendo dicha composición de poliol suficientes sólidos de poliol de polímero de vinilo con el fin de producir un total de sólidos de vinilo, en relación con el peso total de dicha espuma de aproximadamente 15 por ciento en peso o más, teniendo dichos sólidos de polímero de vinilo una relación media de estireno y acrilonitrilo mayor de uno.
