Abstract

Procedimiento para la protección catódica de un cuerpo de hormigón que comprende una armadura metálica, aplicando una corriente entre un electrodo y la armadura con el fin de mantener la capa pasivada sobre la armadura, comprendiendo el procedimiento taladrar un orificio en el hormigón desde la superficie del mismo, siendo el orificio de forma en sección transversal y de tamaño similar al del electrodo y de tal profundidad que alcanza el electrodo adyacente a la armadura, pero no en contacto físico con la misma, y a continuación rellenar el orificio con material curable permeable a los gases, que comprende la etapa de aplicar una densidad de corriente a un nivel que, además de proporcionar la protección catódica de la armadura, dará lugar a la producción de gases, y permitir que los gases liberados en la proximidad del ánodo alcancen la atmósfera ambiental a través del material curable permeable a los gases.
