Abstract

Compuesto intermedio de utilidad en la sintesis de macrólidos. Concretamente, la inveción se refiere al compuesto 9-dexo-ó-deoxi-6,9-epoxi-9,9a-didehidro-9a-aza-9a-homoeritromicina A en forma de un hidrato y a su uso como compuesto intermedio en la producción de azitromicina. La invención describe también un procedimiento para la producción de dicho compuesto intermedio, que comprende aislar dicho compuesto a partir de un sistema disolvente acuoso por adición de una base y ajuste del pH.
