Abstract
Piezoelectric igniter apparatus comprising an elongated frame, the ignition means disposed in said frame in the vicinity of its front end, a manual lever hingedly mounted at its front end to said frame to be angularly mobile for its action and bifurcated in two arms both of extension backwards, one short and in the form of a fingernail but the other elongated to form the larger body to be tightened, a unit of piezoelectric element held in the frame at one end by a pin fixed thereto and at the other end by the tip of the nail that protrudes a little down so that when pressing the manual lever in the angular movement of it, raise the tip of the nail that holds the corresponding end of the piezoelectric element unit but not beyond the line formed between the center of the joint and the point at which the other end of the piezoelectric element unit is held at the tip of the pin, in the highest position of the angular movement of the manual lever, and so that upon releasing the tightening the substantially compressed piezoelectric element unit can elastically recover its initial dimension to angularly move the manual lever to its position of rest.
