Abstract

A contour adjustable diaper comprising: a fluid-permeable cover sheet having at least one fold extending laterally along the cover sheet; a fluid impervious backing sheet having at least one fold (which extends laterally along the backing sheet; and a pair of absorbent pads located between said cover sheet and said backing sheet, said end pads having overlapping ends in the central longitudinal region of the diaper and the pads being free of fixation in the overlapping region, whereby said pads move longitudinally relative to each other and the diaper is transformed from a generally flat configuration into an arcuate configuration such as response to a longitudinal diaper, the longitudinal sides of the diaper arching inward in the central region of the diaper to accommodate general mucus to the contour of a child's body.
