An improved disposable diaper, comprising an absorbent body and a flexible waterproof backing sheet, said absorbent body comprising a continuous integral mass of fibers formed as a sheet with an inner surface and with an outer surface adjacent to said backing sheet, said body having extending therethrough defining passages for liquid from said internal surface to said external surface, whereby liquid can flow from said internal surface to said external surface in a first part of said absorbent body to flow along of said backing sheet to other sizes of said absorbent body.
