Abstract

Nuevo molde para la fabricación de vidrio hueco soplado constituído por una plataforma de hierro fundido o laminado, provista de cuatro paredes metálicas móviles deslizantes sobre aquella y que mediante un sistema cualquiera, unos resortes por ejemplo, se trasladan oprimiendo entre sí a una bombona de vidrio en estado pastoso a la que moldean y le dan forma prismática de base cuadrada o rectangular. El comienzo del movimiento de moldeo de las paredes se consigue mediante un simple dispositivo electromecánico que se dispara gracias al contacto del vidrio soplado caliente con las paredes metálicas.
