Improvements introduced in the manufacture of adjustable tubular wrenches comprising a rod having at one end a driving handle and at the opposite end a mouth for gripping nuts and the like, this mouth being formed by a relatively stationary jaw and, mounted on the the same with ease to move transversely, a relatively movable jaw, the latter being to alter the opening said jaws, operable by an adjustment device associated with said drive handle, said shaft having a bore extending axially therethrough and having mounted, with facility to move longitudinally but without being able to rotate, a connecting rod that can move longitudinally in said bore by an adjustment member associated with said handle and operably connected with the rear end of said rod, being the front end of the aforementioned rod connected, of u nately known per se, with said jaw relatively movable by a sliding element in application with cooperating guiding surfaces inclined in said jaw.
