Cabezal de mandrinar perfeccionado caracterizado por constar de un cuerpo básico de revolución rígido, en cuyo frente anterior, se practican tres acanaladuras, cuyos planos centrales perpendiculares a su fondo presentan trayectorias que concurren a modo de lados de un triángulo, teórico, del centro frontal de la herramienta, de forma que en las acanaladuras citadas se disponen porta-plaquitas que sobresalen del contorno exterior de la citada herramienta, con la característica de que las plaquitas que comportan presentan diferente altura de incidencia para el corte, realizando cada una de ellas un tercio de la pasada total del conjunto.
