Abstract

Método de amplificación genómica del virus West Nile. El método se basa en la amplificación de una zona de la región 3? no codificante del virus, preferiblemente mediante PCR en Tiempo Real, gracias al uso de una pareja de cebadores mínimamente degenerados, lo que permite la amplificación de virus West Nile presentes en una muestra de cualquiera de los linajes conocidos. El fragmento amplificado se detecta, preferiblemente, con una sonda específica de la zona, también mínimamente degenerada. La pareja de cebadores degenerados elegidos, así como la sonda preferida, dan lugar a una alta sensibilidad en la detección de todos los linajes y también a una alta especificidad para el virus West Nile.
