A ferritic alloy steel has the following composition in percentages by weight: C 0.03 to 0.20, Mn 0.2 to 1.5, Mo 0.4 to 1.0, Nb and/or Ta 0.2 to 1.0 in total. B 0.003 to 0.10, N 0 to 0.15, Si 0.2 to 1.5, Cr 10.0 to 16.0, V 0.1 to 0.5, Co 5.0 to 15.0, Ni 0 to 2.0, Fe the balance with impurities. Specification 687,899 is referred to.
