Abstract

A cover fastener (1) for a transport container - with a rotating stirrup (4), - with a hinge (5), which has a first hinge piece (6) and a second hinge piece (7), - where in the first hinge piece (6) a fixing spring (8) is arranged that collaborates with a stirrup branch (9) of the rotating stirrup (4), which is arranged opposite to a second stirrup branch (10) held by the second hinge piece (7), characterized in that a first half-cover (2) and a second half-cover (3) are provided, wherein the first half-cover (2) is fastened in the first hinge piece (6) and the second half-cover (3) is fastened in the second hinge piece (7), and where the second hinge piece (7) maintains the rotational mobility of the rotating stirrup (4) in the second half-covered (3).

Description

Cover fixer

The present invention relates to a cover fastener for a transport container according to the general concept of claim 1. A cover fastener of this type is known from FR2 108 801 A1.

A lid fastener of this kind for a transport container manifests a need for improvement in the sense that the open lid of the transport container can be accidentally closed during loading or unloading of the container, due to the absence of a sufficient fixation, with the consequent danger of injury.

Therefore, an objective of the present invention is to provide a cover fastener of the type mentioned in the general concept, which makes it possible to securely lock the open cover.

Said objective is solved by the characteristics set forth in claim 1.

The cover fastener according to the present invention, by providing a flexible fixing spring on the bottom side of one of the hinge pieces, allows a stirrup element to be carried to, and maintained by said fixing spring in, a interlocking position corresponding to the open position of the lid.

The dependent claims contain other convenient developments of the invention.

As can be seen in Fig. 1, said cover fixer 1 has a first half-cover 2 and a second half-cover 3, which are designed in the shape of a tank, as well as a rotating stirrup 4 which is arranged on a bottom region. 2a of the first half-cover 2 and on a bottom region 3a of the second half-cover 3. A partial side view of the partially sectioned cover fastener 1 is illustrated in Fig. 2. As shown in Fig. 2, a fixing spring 8 is attached to the lower side of the first hinge piece 6, which has a flexible clamping zone 12 designed essentially in a V-shape, which is arranged between a first fixing segment 13 and a second fixing segment 14, in which the fixing spring 8 is attached to the first hinge piece 6. As can be seen further in Fig. 2, of the bottom region 2a of the first half-cover 2 protrudes two inclined butt planes 11 towards the inside of the first half-cover 2, of which in this sectioned representation only an inclined butt plane 11 is visible.

Based on Fig. 3, the operation of the cover fixer 1 according to the present invention will be described in detail below. While a closed position of the hinge 5 is illustrated in Fig. 1, a position of the cover fastener 1 according to the present invention is shown in Fig. 3 in which the second hinge piece 7 and the semi-covered 3 fixed to it is rotated counterclockwise at an angle of at least 90 ° with respect to the horizontal (ie closed) position, illustrated in Fig. 1, of hinge 5. In this opening position shown in Fig. 3 of the cover fastener 1, the first stirrup branch 9 of the rotating stirrup 4 is positioned and interlocked between the bottom region 2a of the first semi-covered 2 and the fixing area 12 of the fixing spring 8.
