Description

Wardrobe, especially security closet.

The invention concerns a security cabinet, preferably a security cabinet under the table, with at least one cabinet body and with at least one door connected articulately to the cabinet body.

Such cabinets, especially safety cabinets, are generally known, for which reference is made only, by way of example, to document DE 93 17 218 U1. In general, such cabinets or cabinets under the table are placed under laboratory tables. In laboratories, not only hazardous materials, such as combustible liquids (for example alcohols), but also acids or lyes are frequently used.

The storage of such acids and lyes has to be carried out, on the one hand, separately from the hazardous materials mentioned above and, on the other hand, is problematic in regard to permanent housing. In fact, for example acid vapors (or also bleach vapors) attack almost all the materials with which such safety cabinets are constructed, namely metal plates, hinges, handles, rail guides, etc. Since today the requirement to store not only hazardous materials, but also acids and lyes, is increasing, adequate precautions must be taken. In fact, many laboratories are increasingly going to reduce the amount of chemical stores stored out until now and store them directly in the laboratories to make the routes and eventual lost times as short as possible.

Within the framework of the generic teachings according to US 5 664 853 a cabinet has been disclosed which is equipped inside the cabinet body with individual compartments. These compartments are defined, on the one hand, by vertical panels and, on the other, by horizontal panels. The panels in question are not mostly connected to the cabinet body, but rather define a separate structure inside.

Document DE 94 16 974 U shows a security cabinet configured with a two-part cabinet body, a hazardous materials compartment and an acid / lye compartment with inner lining.

The invention is based on the technical problem of further developing a cabinet, especially a safety cabinet, of the configuration described at the beginning so that the storage of all the necessary materials in the laboratory is achieved without problems, especially acids and lyes.

To solve this technical problem, a safety cabinet of the exposed generic class is characterized in the context of the invention because the body of the cabinet is made in at least two parts with a compartment of hazardous materials and a compartment of acids / lyes with coating interior, where the inner lining independent of the cabinet body is of resistant construction against acids and lyes, partially covers the inside of the cabinet body and forms a separate volume separate from the cabinet body, and for this purpose the inner lining is configured in several parts with a floor covering part and a ceiling covering part, as well as with wall covering parts, which, independently of the cabinet body, form a self-supporting envelope and are individually permanently or detachably joined with the cabinet body through acid resistant fixing means os and lye, and where any remaining joints between the different parts of the lining are welded after application of the inner lining in the cabinet body.

Therefore, the inner lining according to the invention is designed as independent of the cabinet body. This means within the framework of the invention that the inner lining is manufactured separately from the cabinet body and / or forms a separate volume separate from the cabinet body. In this way, an existing cabinet body can be equipped, if necessary, with the inner lining and the cabinet can be reconditioned accordingly. The union of the inner lining with the cabinet body is configured as permanent or as solderable. The invention proposes here special fixing means that are resistant to acids and lyes. As fixing means they have proved favorable, for example, the so-called plastic nails. In fact, with the help of plastic nails, it is possible, on the one hand, to secure the inner lining with respect to the cabinet body and, on the other, it can be immobilized in its desired position with respect to the cabinet body.

The outer covering - like the fixing means - is configured as resistant against acids and alkalis. In this regard, it has been proven that the inner lining is configured entirely or partially as self-supporting. This means that the lining does not need its own support frame, but, on the contrary, it is able to form, as it were, without the cabinet body, a housing, that is, a closed volume. In other words, the interior lining carrying functions are assumed by it. Consequently, all parts of the lining act, as it were, as helmets and absorb all of the introduced forces.

In this regard, it has been especially proven that the inner lining is made of a plastic, by

example a thermoplastic synthetic material. Examples of suitable plastics are polyethylene or polypropylene. Thus, it is known that they can be manufactured, for example based on polyethylene (PE), acid resistant containers, tubes and films. Polypropylene (PP) is also suitable for this and is used, for example, for the manufacture of battery boxes. In any case, such thermoplastic synthetic materials in general and polyethylene and polypropylene, but also polyamide (PA) in particular, are characterized by their particular suitability to serve as a material for the interior lining of the cabinet body that is used according to the invention and which is preferably self-supporting.

In this regard, it has been shown as particularly favorable that the cabinet body is configured in at least two parts. In this way, the invention takes into account the circumstance that hazardous materials, on the one hand, and acids and lyes, etc., on the other, should not be stored together, but only separately. Accordingly, the cabinet body according to the invention advantageously has a hazardous materials compartment and an acid / bleach compartment. The hazardous materials compartment is used for the storage of most hazardous hazardous materials such as alcohols, etc., while the acid / lye compartment houses comparable acids, lyes or liquids.

Within the framework of the invention, the decision has now been made that only the acid / lye compartment is equipped with the inner liner described. The cabinet can thus be manufactured especially cheaply. In fact, the inner lining is used only in the area of the cabinet body that is exposed to acid or bleach vapors and, consequently, to high wear. In this regard, the invention takes into account the circumstance that such safety cabinets are generally configured as steel cabinets or as wooden cabinets with, for example, a plastic coating. In any case, it is ensured with the plastic inner lining that the acid / lye compartment of the cabinet body is specially protected with regard to the acid / bleach vapors that are necessarily produced.

To materialize this in detail, it has been proven that the inner lining is configured in several parts. In this case, it is imaginable, for example, to work with a floor covering part and a roof covering part, as well as with several wall covering parts. Of course, some of the aforementioned coating parts can also be combined. This can be realized so that, for example, the floor covering part and one or several wall covering parts are designed to form a single piece. Such embodiments are known in principle, for which purpose reference is made only by way of example to the utility model DE 1 920 640 U1. However, this is a plastic drawer for the interior equipment of delivery vans, that is to say a completely different technology is described.

In order to manufacture the desired and preferably self-supporting structure of the inner lining, it has been proven that some parts of the liner are at least partially immobilized with respect to each other. Alternatively or additionally, the aforementioned parts of the lining can also be placed on top of each other inside the cabinet body. In this case, the body of the cabinet surrounding the inner lining additionally takes care that the inner liner experiences retention. In this way, the different parts of the lining advantageously form, independently of the cabinet body, a self-supporting wrap, that is to say, a parallelepiped open towards the door that conforms, together with the door, the accommodation enclosure. Consequently, the parts of the lining can be mounted later without problems, for example in an existing cabinet body. Of course, it is not difficult to imagine the equipment again and it is covered by the invention. In this case, after the application of the inner lining in the cabinet body the possible remaining joints between the different parts of the lining are eventually sealed.

Apart from the interior of the cabinet body or the acid / bleach compartment, it has been proven that the articulated door in the cabinet body has a door covering part applied to it. This part of the door covering could be attached to the door or connected with it by another adhesive route or in any other way. This applies in principle also to the remaining parts of the inner lining, which can also be attached adhesively to the cabinet body. However, according to a particularly preferred embodiment, the different parts of the lining are connected to the cabinet body using the special plastic fixing means, especially by means of the plastic nails. This can be done in a solvable way.

The decision can thus be taken together that an eventual door hinge or other functional elements can be arranged outside the housing enclosure formed by all parts of the lining (i.e., the floor covering part, the roof covering part , the lining parts of the walls and the lining part of the door). This means that the accommodation enclosure for acids, lyes, etc. formed by the parts of the lining forms a helmet, so to speak internal and almost closed, in the safety cabinet or in the acid / lye compartment. Outside this helmet are the cabinet body and any functional elements of the cabinet body such as hinges, locks, interlocking bars, etc. In this way, these functional elements or the different parts of the cabinet body are separated from the vapors of

acid or bleach vapors that are necessarily produced. In fact, according to the invention, the respective inner lining is inserted in this place.

Since the different parts of the inner lining are connected to each other without joints or for the most part without joints or any remaining joints are closed with plastics also resistant to acids / lyes, it is ensured that acid vapors or vapors of bleach that are practically forced inside can not penetrate to the cabinet body or its functional elements. In fact, the relevant safety cabinet according to the invention generally has a suction opening and is connected to a suction unit existing in the laboratory anyway. This means that the vapors in question are continuously sucked.

Finally, it has been proven that even possible mounting elements inside the acid / lye compartment or on the inner side of the inner lining also materialize based on a resistant material. These mounting elements could be a rail guide for a drawer without limitation. This rail guide

 Like the lining parts - it is advantageously made of polypropylene or polyethylene or a comparable thermoplastic synthetic material. The desired resistance to acids / lyes is thus achieved. For fixing the rail guide, polyamide-based fixing parts can be used. With this material, the rollers necessary for the drawer are also usually manufactured.

In the embodiment of the aforementioned drawer, a thermoplastic synthetic material that is resistant to acids / lyes or the like is also advantageously used. This means that all internal structures or moving parts inside the envelope formed by the inner lining are advantageously also made of a resistant material, for example a thermoplastic synthetic material. The self-supporting wrap formed by the different parts of the cladding here together forms an almost closed space or the housing enclosure that has a slit (of small dimensions) only between the cladding part of the door and the remaining wrap. The housing enclosure is formed here by the floor covering part, the roof covering part and the wall covering parts of the interior covering in combination with the door covering part.

As a result, a cabinet is provided that is especially suitable as a security cabinet under the table. Actually, this safety cabinet under the table can be placed without problems under a laboratory table and serves to receive virtually all the hazardous materials and acids / lyes needed in the laboratory. To this end, the cabinet according to the invention is subdivided into at least two compartments, specifically in the hazardous materials compartment and the acid / bleach compartment.

In the context of the invention, only the acid / lye compartment has an inner lining. This inner lining forms an almost closed envelope (housing enclosure) for acids / lyes stored inside. The eventual functional elements of the cabinet body and the cabinet body itself as such are outside this envelope, that is to say (they) can no longer be attacked by vapors produced inside. Regardless of this, such vapors are, of course, continuously removed from the interior by means of a suction action.

As a result, the duration and useful life of the cabinet configured according to the invention is clearly increased compared to current embodiments. This can be attributed in essence to the fact that the vapors produced in the interior have an almost exclusive effect on the inner lining based on the plastic material resistant to them. In addition, any additional internal structures or additional elements inside this envelope formed by the inner lining are also made of resistant materials or equipped with a cover based on such resistant material. Thus, a long duration and useful life of the modified cabinet are thus materialized together with, at the same time, a simple and cheap structure. In this you can see the essential advantages.

It is also the object of the invention to use an inner lining consisting of several parts of plastic lining and at least partially self-supporting. This interior lining is used to cover all or part of the interior of the cabinet body. The cabinet body itself is an integral part of the cabinet in question, especially the safety cabinet. To this end, the cabinet body is equipped with at least one articulated door in said body. In addition, the cabinet, especially the security cabinet, has at least one cabinet body of this class. The security cabinet can be particularly advantageous in a security cabinet under the table.

In the following, the invention is explained in more detail using a drawing that represents only one embodiment. The only figure schematically shows a cabinet according to the invention.

The figure shows a suction hood 1 that extends above a laboratory table 2. Under the laboratory table 2 there is a cabinet 3 which, in the framework of the example shown, is configured as a safety cabinet 3 placed under the table. The security cabinet 3 placed under the table is constituted, in its basic structure, by a cabinet body 4 and two doors 5 articulated in said body of

cabinet 4. The doors 5 consist of non-limiting way in doors 5 of rotating leaf.

In addition, it is appreciated that the body 4 of the cabinet is divided into at least two parts. Actually, the body 4 of the cabinet is composed of a compartment 4a of hazardous materials and a compartment 4b of acids / lyes.

Of particular importance is the fact that the cabinet body 4 is equipped with an inner liner 6. The inner liner 6 covers all or part of the interior of the cabinet body 4 and is designed as independent of the cabinet body 4. It is meant by this that the inner lining 6 forms a volume that is independent of the body 4 of the cabinet and that may or may not materialize inside the body 4 of the cabinet. In the context of the exemplary embodiment, only the acid / lye compartment 4b is equipped with the inner liner 6. The inner liner 6 is designed as self-supporting, as already described at the beginning.

With the aid of the representation it is clearly shown that the inner lining 6 is configured in several parts. In reality, there is a floor covering part 6a, a roof covering part 6b and several wall covering parts 6c. The different parts 6a, 6b, 6c of the lining can be partially immobilized against each other and together form a self-supporting envelope 6a, 6b, 6c, that is, a parallelepiped open towards the door 5. Within the framework of the embodiment example the different parts 6a, 6b, 6c of the coating are arranged one above the other. The possible joints that remain between the different parts 6a, 6b, 6c of the coating are sealed.

In the framework of the example, the different parts 6a, 6b, 6c of the lining are connected with the body 4 of the cabinet, specifically, for example, in a releasable manner. The respective part 6a, 6b, 6c of the coating can be attached here by adhesive with the body 4 of the cabinet. However, plastic fixing means will generally be used here to keep the different parts 6a, 6b, 6c of the lining in a desired position with respect to the body 4 of the cabinet. These plastic-based fixing means consist of non-limiting manner in plastic nails that are equipped with a head and an elastic rod. With the aid of this elastic rod, the respective plastic nail can be detachably anchored in a hole in the body 4 of the cabinet and this nail provides, as a consequence, an immobilization at the same time releasable and exact in position of the different parts 6a , 6b, 6c of the liner with respect to the body 4 of the cabinet. Of course, this is not to be understood as forced.

In any case, the different parts 6a, 6b, 6c of the lining form the self-supporting envelope 6a, 6b, 6c, which is designed as independent of the body 4 of the cabinet. The different parts 6a, 6b, 6c of the coating are made of plastic, especially of a thermoplastic synthetic material such as polyethylene or polypropylene. It also belongs to the lining 6 a part 6d of door lining that is applied to the door 5 by the inside of it. All parts 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d of the cladding together form a practically enclosed space, that is, the housing 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, which houses reserves of acids and / or lye inside. The different parts 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d of the cladding join all of them here almost without leaving joints. Whenever there are any joints, these are also sealed with plastic.

The different parts 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d of the lining make up the housing enclosure 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d almost completely closed, which has an insignificant slit only on the edge side of the part 6d of the lining of the door. Outside of this housing 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, the functional elements of the cabinet are arranged, for example a door lock 5 configured as a revolving door 5, a door handle 5, hinges for the door 5 , etc. In this way, these functional elements are not attacked by acid / bleach vapors eventually formed inside the housing 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d formed on the basis of the parts 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d of the coating. In this way, the cabinet shown is endowed with high service life and impeccable functionality and at the same time the costs are small.

The fact that the internal structures inside the inner lining 6 are also made of a resistant material, in this case again a thermoplastic synthetic material, contributes in addition to this. To these elements could belong one or several rail guides 7, 7 'which are also made of polyethylene or polypropylene. A drawer made of thermoplastic synthetic material can be guided on or on the rail guides mentioned 7, 7 '. To mount the rail guide 7, 7 'on the body 4 of the cabinet, screws whose heads are covered with plastic caps consisting of thermoplastic synthetic material could also be used so as not to offer any surface of attack to the acid vapors.

The respective rail guide 7, 7 'is configured in two parts and consists of a roller strip 7 and a sliding strip 7'. Rollers 7 are guided on rollers not expressly represented and intended to guide the drawer. The sliding strip 7 'provides the positioning of the drawer.

The different parts 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d of the lining can be joined in whole or only partially with the body 4 of the cabinet and the door 5, respectively. In fact, in this process, grooves 8 are formed and automatically formed to guide and receive the remaining parts 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d of the coating. In the example shown the parts 6c of the wall covering form, in combination with the

cabinet body 4, grooves 8 of this kind which, in the present case, serve to receive, on the one hand, the part 6b of the roof covering and, on the other, the part 6a of the floor covering.

In the exemplary embodiment, the different parts 6a, 6b, 6c of the lining are arranged one above the other inside the body 4 of the cabinet. On the contrary, the door covering part 6d is connected to the door 5 5 and, of course, cannot interact with the remaining parts 6a, 6b, 6c of the covering in the manner described (being one on top of the other). It is appreciated that the side portions 6c of the wall covering are equipped with a respective flange 9 facing downward in the area of an opening of the body 4 of the cabinet that is open towards the door. These flanges 9 of the two lateral parts 6c of the wall covering correspond to frontal lateral appendages 7 in, on the one hand, the part 6a of the floor covering and, on the other,

10 part 6b of the roof covering.

In the mounted state, the flanges 9 of the two lateral parts 6c of the wall covering serve, as it were, as stops for the part 6a of the floor covering and the part 6b of the roof covering. Indeed, the two parts 6a, 6b of the coating mentioned above can be introduced into the body 4 of the cabinet - when the side parts 6c of the wall covering and the rear part 6c of the wall covering 15 have been previously mounted - only to the point that the lateral appendages 10 are applied to the flanges 9. In this way, both the part 6a of the floor covering and the part 6b of the roof covering protrude with respect to the leading edge - defined by the respective flange 9 - of the side parts 6c of the wall covering.
