Abstract

Sistema de generación de electricidad, a base de nitrógeno licuado, que comprende un recipiente dealmacenamiento (V) de nitrógeno licuado, una bomba (B), un intercambiador de calor (TC), un expansor (EXP) y unconvertidor de energía eléctrica (CEE), caracterizado por la disposición de un dispositivo de control (D) entre dichointercambiador de calor (TC), y dicho expansor (EXP) para controlar la entrada de nitrógeno en dicho expansor (EXP), proporcionando un sistema de generación de electricidad autónomo.

CAMPO DE LA INVENCI�N
La innovaci�n propuesta en este documento describe un sistema de generaci�n de electricidad a base de nitr�geno y su uso.
T�CNICAS ANTERIORES
La cada vez mayor preocupaci�n sobre problemas medioambientales, especialmente con respecto a la reducci�n de la emisi�n de CO2 asociada con la expansi�n del sector el�ctrico brasile�o comienza a estimular el desarrollo y el uso de formas alternativas de generaci�n de energ�a el�ctrica en Brasil.
En particular, los sistemas de generaci�n limpios y renovables est�n considerados como prioritarios actualmente. El mercado de fuentes e�licas, energ�a solar y peque�as centrales energ�ticas hidroel�ctricas est� aumentando r�pidamente.
Por lo tanto, en este contexto, se comenz� a investigar nuevas tecnolog�as limpias y renovables para la generaci�n de energ�a para sustituir a las fuentes tradicionales.
La generaci�n de energ�a el�ctrica a partir de hidr�geno es una de las alternativas que est� siendo investigada.
Otra tendencia importante que est� obteniendo un fuerte apoyo en el actual escenario es la generaci�n distribuida, es decir la generaci�n de energ�a a partir de peque�as unidades (generaci�n a peque�a escala) cerca del consumidor. La energ�a distribuida se vuelve a�n m�s importante debido a los siguientes factores:
La necesidad de suministrar a consumidores aislados del sistema el�ctrico. En zonas rurales, el desarrollo de sistemas independientes locales puede eliminar la necesidad de aumentar la red de distribuci�n;
La incidencia de varios apagones de gran extensi�n que se ha verificado en muchos pa�ses, causando grandes perjuicios y molestias a los consumidores. La energ�a generada a nivel local exige menos a los sistemas de transmisi�n el�ctrica, y proporciona una elevada fiabilidad y baja vulnerabilidad para los sistemas el�ctricos centralizados que se producen, por ejemplo, debido a condiciones clim�ticas extremas;
La demanda en aumento de “energ�a verde”. Los compromisos relacionados con el cambio clim�tico y esfuerzos para la conservaci�n del medio ambiente;
Otros factores - Menor dependencia de la importaci�n de crudo, menor contaminaci�n atmosf�rica, reducci�n de los riesgos de seguridad nuclear, dificultades de localizaci�n de nuevas centrales energ�ticas y la capacidad de transmisi�n y distribuci�n, avances tecnol�gicos, nuevos mercados de exportaci�n.
El desarrollo de nuevas tecnolog�as que puedan garantizar este mercado en aumento de energ�a distribuida es m�s relevante y tiene prioridad.
En un caso l�mite, lo ideal ser�a que cada hogar pudiera tener su generaci�n local (privada), es decir, peque�os generadores de energ�a el�ctrica.
Estos peque�os generadores dom�sticos pueden representar de la mejor manera un cambio en la filosof�a de “mejor cuanto m�s grande” de la generaci�n de electricidad que ha prevalecido en el sector energ�tico - con la construcci�n de enormes centrales hidroel�ctricas, de carb�n y nucleares que, actualmente, suministran gran parte de la electricidad a nivel mundial.
En resumen, varias fuerzas tecnol�gicas, medioambientales y pol�ticas estimulan el uso del concepto de energ�a descentralizada, a peque�a escala, limpia y renovable.
Esta patente presenta una forma alternativa de generaci�n de energ�a el�ctrica limpia, renovable y distribuida, a base de nitr�geno.
El nitr�geno es el elemento principal en el aire (aproximadamente el 78%), por lo tanto una fuente renovable de generaci�n de energ�a el�ctrica. Adem�s, el equipo descrito en este documento representa una forma limpia y distribuida de generaci�n de energ�a.
El nitr�geno puede almacenarse en forma l�quida que facilita el transporte y su posicionamiento, donde la energ�a es necesaria y, por lo tanto, su uso como combustible para generaci�n distribuida, limpia y renovable de energ�a el�ctrica.
La solicitud de patente brasile�a PI 0202191-9 (fecha ) describe un generador que usa el nitr�geno donde la diferencia de potencial se genera a partir de la superconducci�n de las fuerzas magn�ticas generadas por un gran im�n.
La t�cnica anterior m�s cercana, el documento US2964917 describe un proceso de regasificaci�n para gas licuado como metano, ox�geno o nitr�geno, para obtener el gas a una presi�n espec�fica y durante el cual se obtiene energ�a el�ctrica como efecto secundario.
RESUMEN DE LA INVENCI�N
El sistema considerado es un generador de electricidad que usa la temperatura ambiente para calentar y vaporizar nitr�geno l�quido, que est� almacenado a baja temperatura, y es bombeado a alta presi�n a trav�s de un intercambiador de calor. El nitr�geno gaseoso vaporizado a alta presi�n se expande en un expansor, que genera energ�a mec�nica que impulsa un generador de electricidad.
DESCRIPCI�N DETALLADA DE LA INVENCI�N
La presente invenci�n est� compuesta por un sistema de generaci�n de energ�a el�ctrica que usa nitr�geno l�quido, tal como se muestra en la figura 1, donde V representa el recipiente de almacenamiento de nitr�geno l�quido, B es una bomba, TC es el intercambiador de calor, D un dispositivo de control, EXP un expansor y CEE un convertidor de energ�a el�ctrica. Tambi�n hay un conjunto de v�lvulas (no se muestran en la figura) que controla el flujo de nitr�geno en el sistema. Las v�lvulas tambi�n se usan para la protecci�n y la puesta en marcha de nuevo del sistema.
El diagrama de la figura 1 ilustra el principio b�sico de funcionamiento.
El nitr�geno l�quido, almacenado inicialmente en un recipiente a presi�n, V, es bombeado a la presi�n de funcionamiento del sistema en la bomba B, despu�s de lo cual es dirigido al intercambiador de calor, TC. El intercambiador de calor funciona de forma similar al radiador de un coche, sin embargo, en lugar de usar el aire para refrigerar, usa el aire para calentar el nitr�geno.
El nitr�geno l�quido pasa a trav�s de tuber�as que componen el intercambiador de calor, donde es calentado y vaporizado por un chorro de aire a temperatura ambiente. Despu�s de lo cual se expande en un expansor, EXP, que genera energ�a mec�nica, que es convertida en electricidad por un generador el�ctrico (CEE). El nitr�geno se deja libre en la atm�sfera.
El flujo de nitr�geno a la entrada del expansor est� controlado por un dispositivo, D.
El sistema considerado es modular y varios de ellos pueden estar conectados para aumentar la capacidad de generaci�n de energ�a el�ctrica (potencia y energ�a), mediante la combinaci�n de recipientes de almacenamiento de nitr�geno en paralelo al intercambiador de calor o mediante la combinaci�n de algunos recipientes de almacenamiento de nitr�geno y el intercambiador de calor en paralelo al expansor, tal como se muestra en la figura 2, y otros.
Es posible a�adir otros componentes al sistema para aumentar su eficacia. Por ejemplo:
La adopci�n de ventiladores para inyectar el aire con mayor eficiencia, es decir, el calor circundante en el intercambiador de calor.
La constituci�n f�sica y geom�trica del intercambiador de calor podr�a mejorarse teniendo como objetivo una mejor eficacia. Puede optimizarse usando otras configuraciones de tuber�a mediante una mejor exposici�n de la superficie del intercambiador de calor al aire y la luz circundantes, con objeto de mejorar la transferencia de calor circundante al nitr�geno l�quido.
El nitr�geno gaseoso a la salida del expansor puede reutilizarse para el precalentamiento del nitr�geno l�quido en el intercambiador de calor.
El nitr�geno gaseoso que sale del expansor se puede seguir usando como fluido de trabajo en una segunda fase de transferencia de calor y expansor que genera m�s trabajo mec�nico. El n�mero de fases usadas depende de la eficacia deseada y de la energ�a requerida por el sistema.
El sistema presenta un bajo coste para generar una energ�a limpia, renovable y distribuida:
Para suministrar a consumidores situados en regiones aisladas del sistema el�ctrico (consumidores no conectados a la red).
Para suministrar a un consumidor o grupo de consumidores situados en regiones de p�rdidas comerciales elevadas y elevada insolvencia.
Que permite la venta de energ�a, antes de su uso, implementando el concepto de energ�a pre-pago en un consumidor o un grupo de consumidores situados en regiones de p�rdidas comerciales elevadas y elevada insolvencia.
Para uso en hogares, en aplicaciones espec�ficas tales como iluminaci�n eficiente y para calentar el agua, entre otras.
Para sustituir generadores de gas�leo locales, reduciendo las emisiones.

  1. REIVINDICACIONES
    1. Sistema de generaci�n de electricidad, a base de nitr�geno licuado, que comprende un recipiente de almacenamiento (V) de nitr�geno licuado, una bomba (B), un intercambiador de calor (TC), un expansor (EXP) y un convertidor de energ�a el�ctrica (CEE), caracterizado por la disposici�n de un dispositivo de control (D) entre dicho
