Abstract

Medio de cultivo celular útil para la proliferación in vitro de células de epitelio del limbo esclerocorneal.#La presente invención proporciona un medio de cultivo celular carente de componentes de origen animal no humano y de compuestos nocivos para el organismo humano, útil para la proliferación in vitro de células de epitelio del limbo esclerocorneal, tanto de las células epiteliales diferenciadas o en proceso de diferenciación como de las células madre presentes entre ellas. Por tanto, las células cultivadas en el medo de cultivo de la invención pueden ser aplicadas de forma segura en clínica, por ejemplo, en procedimientos de terapia celular para la regeneración epitelial de la superficie ocular, preferiblemente en los casos de Síndrome de Insuficiencia Límbica (SIL).
