Abstract
Mejoras en el procedimiento para desulfurar los metales en fusión y particularmente el hierro, objeto de la patente principal, caracterizadas por el hecho de utilizar como recipiente metalúrgico que contiene el metal a tratar, un caldero provisto de un dispositivo de sifonaje para hacer circular el metal de forma continua bajo el tabique que forma el sifón y, finalmente, insuflar un agente desulfurante bajo la forma de polvo finamente dividido a través de, por lo menos, un orificio situado en la pared del caldero bajo el nivel del baño, habiendo quedado previamente en suspensión en un gas dicho agente desulfurante, en fuerte concentración, con objeto de atenuar el efecto de enfriamiento introducido por dicho gas.
