Un método par calentar hilos en continuo movimiento, consistente en un material que , al calentarlo se vuelve pegajoso, siendo dichos hilos puestos en contacto con un cuerpo calentado cuya temperatura está próxima al punto de ablandamiento del material de los hilos, caracterizado porque al comienzo del proceso y antes de que los hilos se pongan en contacto con la superficie del cuerpo calentador, dicha superficie es enfriada por medio de aire hasta por debajo del punto de ablandamiento del material de los hilos y porque la superficie de caldeo se mantiene a ua temperatura reducida hasta que los hilos se estén moviendo en contacto con dicha superficie.
