Abstract

Procedimiento para influir en las consecuencias de colisión en relación con un vehículo automóvil, que comprende la etapa de monitorización (S1) de objetos en la dirección de movimiento del vehículo como base para una evaluación del riesgo de colisión, y utilizar dicho riesgo de colisión como base para activar (S3) unos medios de defensa protectores (30) para aliviar dichas consecuencias de colisión, estando dichos medios de defensa protectores (30) situados próximos a la parte frontal y/o trasera del vehículo, comprendiendo el procedimiento además la etapa destinada a decidir si una colisión es probable comparando los datos de riesgo de colisión con los datos de riesgo de colisión predeterminados y, cuando dichos datos de riesgo de colisión cumplen los criterios de colisión específicos, activar dichos medios de defensa protectores (30), caracterizado por que dichos medios de defensa protectores (30) comprenden unos medios de absorción de energía (34) para una función de absorción de energía en la dirección de movimiento del vehículo y unos medios de reducción de la distancia con respecto al suelo (32) para una función de reducción de la distancia con respecto al suelo en la dirección de movimiento del vehículo, comprendiendo el procedimiento además la etapa de elección entre activar dichos medios de absorción de energía y/o activar dichos medios de reducción de la distancia con respecto al suelo según el carácter de dichos objetos monitorizados.
