Abstract

La invención denominada "Máquina térmica de combustión externa sobrealimentada de ciclo Rankine", es la conversión de energía térmica a eléctrica vía energía mecánica mediante un ciclo de Rankine utilizando como fuente de energía térmica la combustión del gas natural en una cámara de combustión sobrealimentada. El ciclo Rankine opera con dióxido de carbono. El calor de los gases de combustión al abandonar los haces vaporizador, sobrecalentador y recalentador es aprovechado para post-calentar el aire de combustión presurizado por medio de un turbo-compresor accionado por los gases de la combustión. Este invento contribuye al incremento de eficiencia global de la planta alcanzando valores superiores al 42% y a conseguir una planta más compacta que las convencionales de ciclo Rankine. El incremento de eficiencia global de esta planta obedece al aprovechamiento del calor de los gases de escape y al calor de rechazo del sistema de combustión. La reducción de tamaño de la planta respecto a las convencionales de ciclo Rankine se consigue al tener el sistema de combustión presurizado.
