Abstract

The invention concerns a method for obtaining industrial quantities of Typha spp. seedlings, used as raw material for the biopurification of contaminated water, forming green filters consisting of aquatic plants. The method includes a step in which seeds are preserved for the industrial-scale production of Typha seedlings, and a seed-germinating step for the industrial-scale production of Typha plants, radicle diversification for the industrial-scale production of Typha plants, and potentiation of the foliar development in the infant stages of the seedlings for the industrial-scale production of Typha plants, all according to a simple, economic method which is completely effective for the production of the plants.
