Abstract

Uso de una sustancia que interfiere con la actividad de CUL4A en un animal para la preparación de un medicamento para prevenir o tratar una afección asociada con daños en el ADN en un animal, en el que la sustancia está seleccionada del grupo que consiste en un polipéptido que comprende un fragmento de la región N-terminal de CUL4A o un análogo, homólogo, derivado del mismo que funciona de manera similar a la región N-terminal de CUL4A, un ARN de interferencia pequeño (ARNsi) de CUL4A, un ARN de horquilla corta (ARNsh) de CUL4A, un oligonucleótido antisentido de CUL4A, un aptámero de CUL4A, y una ribozima de CUL4A, y en el que el medicamento es para ser administrado a un animal para provocar un aumento en la actividad de reparación por escisión de nucleótidos con el fin de prevenir o tratar una afección asociada con el daños en el ADN en el animal.
