Abstract
Aparato para producir ácido acético, que comprende: (a) un reactor para la carbonilación de metanol o sus derivados reactivos, conteniendo el reactor un catalizador seleccionado entre catalizadores de rodio, catalizadores de iridio y mezclas de los mismos, y un promotor de yoduro de metilo en una mezcla de reacción de ácido acético; (b) un sistema de alimentación para proporcionar monóxido de carbono y metanol o sus derivados reactivos al reactor; (c) un sistema de vaporización instantánea configurado para recibir una corriente de la mezcla de reacción y separarla en (i) como mínimo, una primera corriente líquida de reciclaje, y (ii) un crudo de la corriente del proceso que contiene ácido acético; (d) una primera columna de destilación acoplada al sistema de vaporización instantánea, estando la primera columna de destilación adaptada para separar los componentes de punto de ebullición bajo, que incluyen yoduro de metilo, del crudo de la corriente del proceso, y generar una corriente del proceso purificada, funcionando también la primera columna de destilación y, de manera opcional, el reactor y el sistema de vaporización instantánea, para generar una corriente de gas de evacuación que comprende componentes orgánicos volátiles, que incluyen yoduro de metilo; (e) una torre de absorción adaptada para recibir la corriente del gas de evacuación y extraer el yoduro de metilo de la misma con un disolvente depurador, estando también la torre de absorción acoplada con las fuentes del primer y el segundo disolventes depuradores que son capaces de suministrar un primer y un segundo disolventes depuradores diferentes; y (f) un sistema de conmutación para proporcionar de manera alternada el primer y el segundo disolventes depuradores a la torre de absorción desde la fuente del primer disolvente depurador o desde la fuente del segundo disolvente depurador.
