Abstract

Lente de contacto de hidrogel de silicona, que comprende: un cuerpo de lente polimérico que es el producto de reacción de una composición polimerizable, comprendiendo dicha composición polimerizable (a) un primer monómero de siloxano representado por la fórmula (1):**Fórmula** en la que m de la fórmula (1) representa un número entero de 3 a 10, n de la fórmula (1) representa un número entero de 1 a 10, R1 de la fórmula (1) es un grupo alquilo que tiene de 1 a 4 átomos de carbono, y cada R2 de la fórmula (1) es independientemente un átomo de hidrógeno o un grupo metilo; (b) un segundo monómero de siloxano; y (c) al menos un monómero hidrofílico, o al menos un monómero hidrofóbico, o al menos un agente de reticulación, o cualquier combinación de los mismos, caracterizada por que el segundo monómero de siloxano (b) está representado por la fórmula (2):**Fórmula** en la que R1 de la fórmula (2) se selecciona entre un átomo de hidrógeno o un grupo metilo; R2 de la fórmula (2) se selecciona entre un átomo de hidrógeno o un grupo hidrocarburo que tiene de 1 a 4 átomos de carbono; m de la fórmula (2) representa un número entero de 0 a 10; n de la fórmula (2) representa un número entero de 4 a 100; a y b representan números enteros iguales o superiores a 1; a+b es igual a 20-500; b/(a+b) es igual a 0,01- 0,22; la configuración de las unidades de siloxano incluye una configuración aleatoria; y teniendo el segundo monómero de siloxano un peso molecular promedio en número de al menos 3000 daltons; y por que el primer monómero de siloxano y el segundo monómero de siloxano están presentes en la composición polimerizable en una proporción de al menos 2:1 basada en partes unitarias.
